American fans will be greeted with Crofty’s voice on the regular as ABC and ESPN have confirmed they will broadcast Sky’s coverage.
After America’s previous F1 broadcaster NBC was not interested extending coverage rights for the 2018 season, liberty media have concluded a deal with NBC and ESPN instead.
The two American companies will use Sky’s coverage of all 21 scheduled races for the new season, meaning that Americans now too will have the pleasure of listening to Crofty explode in excitmenet at the thought of a turn one incident.
ESPN’s Kate Jackson said: “We are excited to work with the Sky Sports team. Their coverage of F1 is second to none and we look forward to bringing their expertise and authenticity to our audiences.”
Liberty media are also expected to launched a new streaming service for its American viewers although no details have yet been confirmed.
