Ricciardo crashes on day of RB14 launch.

Red Bull says it is still on course for pre-season testing despite Ricciardo damaging the nose and floor of then new RB14 at a Silverstone filming day yesterday.

The team had to cut short running before its 100km limit was reached because Ricciardo crashed out in the damp conditions, hitting the barriers at low speed.

Although the Aussie escaped unharmed, sources close to Red Bull revealed that the low speed shunt caused significant damage to the front wing , floor and suspension of the new Bull.

The team will likely accelerate its spare parts programme to ensure that the RB14 is fully prepared for the beginning of testing action next week.

Let’s hope Danny Ric remembers how to drive come Melbourne!
