McLaren have launched a “fan inspired” papaya orange MCL33 this morning, which they hope can make them competitive in the 2018 Formula One season.
The MCL33 marks for the first time in McLaren’s 52-year history that a car is powered by Renault engines, after a move away from the disastrous Honda engine supply in the 2017 season.
Fernando Alonso is set get to grips with the car later today in a filming day, before pre-season testing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya next Monday.
Zac Brown says that the colour of the car ,”demonstrates that we are listening to our fans, building deeper engagement with them and the Formula 1 community as a whole”.
The new colour scheme is simply stunning but let’s hope the results are just as pretty.
